Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force, Chapter 13
Mission 13: An Agent's Work is Never Done"Where is everypenguin?" thought Mitzi. She had entered the Command Room to talk to the Director and see if he had any missions planned for her today, but there was no one in the room. The HQ was also quite empty, except for a green secret agent penguin that Mitzi never met before, who was watching the monitors. "It's hard to tell who's an agent sometimes," said the unnamed secret agent penguin. "I try to look official whenever possible."Mitzi looked in the Gadget Room to see if Gary was there, but he wasn't. She had no idea where the agents were. They must have been out on a top-secret mission or something. She decided she would come back to the HQ once the other agents returned. For now, she would go see the new play that she heard was created in honor of her. She went to the Plaza and stood in front of the Theater. She was very excited and nervous at the same time, because she had never seen a play as special as this before. When she waddled in, she noticed that the lights were all turned off, so she couldn't see anything...or anypenguin, for that matter. "Hello? Boy, it's awfully dark in here..." said Mitzi. "Good thing I've got my own light source."She used the high-power flashlight from her Spy Gadget to see better in the dark. As she turned it on, she looked around to see if she could find anypenguin. But wait...what was this?A giant pink box stood in the middle of the room. It looked very strange, but Mitzi decided to take a look at what was inside. Suddenly, the lights went back on and Dot jumped right out of the box, just like how she jumped out of that barrel when Mitzi first met her after following her clues. "Surprise!" shouted Dot as the other agents appeared with her. Mitzi gasped and jumped back a little. "The Jetpack Guy? PH? The Rookie?" she sputtered once she got over the shock. "Dot...What's going on here?""It's a surprise party, Agent Flapdoodle!" said the Rookie. "We wanted to celebrate your promotion and reward you for a job well done!" said Dot. "A surprise party? For me?" Mitzi giggled and blushed a little, feeling flattered that her fellow agents cared about her so much. "Thanks, guys! I don't know what to say.""It's the least we could do, Agent Flapdoodle!" said PH. "Roger that. This party is ready for lift off!" said the Jetpack Guy. Just then, Mitzi saw the opening credits for the play flickering on the stage. "Guys, I think my play is starting!" she said as she took a seat. It seemed more like a little movie than a play, and Mitzi knew that this was the big moment she had been waiting for. If only she had some popcorn. One by one, pictures of the crew behind the play showed up onscreen as the opening credits rolled. Suddenly, before the play could get started for real, there was a very loud crash coming from outside. The other agents heard it too, which made them quite alarmed. "Oh no!" cried the Rookie. "What was that terrible noise?""Whatever it was, it was huge," said the Jetpack Guy. "Stay calm, everypenguin," said Dot. "Agent Flapdoodle will get to the bottom of this!"Suddenly, Mitzi heard the Communicator on her Spy Gadget ring. "Oh! I'm getting a call!" she said as she took out her Communicator and began her call. "Agent Flapdoodle, the Director here," she heard the Director's voice say on the other end. "I'm calling an island-wide emergency." "We heard a loud crash," said Mitzi. "What is happening?""All of the surveillance monitors in the HQ have gone offline and, what's worse, the Elite Puffles are missing."Mitzi gasped at this shocking news. "The puffles! Gone? We need G to help get the monitors back online pronto!""That brings us to our next dilemma, Agent Flapdoodle," said the Director. "G seems to have gone missing again." "G is gone, too?!" cried Mitzi. "This really is an emergency.""The island is on high alert," said the Director. "I am teleporting you all to the HQ immediately. Please inform the others.""Yes, Director," said Mitzi. "Over and out."As Mitzi ended her call, she knew this was a very serious situation. She had to tell her fellow agents what was going on. "Mitzi, what's the scoop?" asked Dot. "Agents, the Director has put the island on high alert," said Mitzi. "We are being teleported to the HQ right away!" As all the agents returned to the HQ, the Jetpack Guy and the Rookie observed the monitors, which all showed nothing but static on the screens. "You were right, Mitzi. All monitors are offline, just like the Director told you," said the Jetpack Guy. "What can we do to get them up and running again?" asked Mitzi. "We'll need a gadget guy, Gary specifically, to fix this problem," said the Jetpack Guy. "All of these buttons...I'm afraid to push the wrong one!" said the Rookie, trying to get the monitors back online."Have you found any information on G's disappearance?" asked Mitzi. "I don't know," said the Rookie. "Check with Dot," said the Jetpack Guy. "She's scouring for clues in the Gadget Room. It's a real mess in there.""Will do," said Mitzi. "Keep up the good work, agents. I know you'll do fine.""Thanks!" said the Rookie. "And good luck!""Thanks, Agent Flapdoodle!" said the Jetpack Guy. "Go team!" Mitzi went into the Gadget Room to could talk with Dot, where she saw a huge hole made in the wall."This is unbelievable, Mitzi," said Dot. "That's a big hole, Dot!" said Mitzi. "What happened here?" "No one knows!" said Dot. "We all heard the crash, but all that's left is this giant hole.""That's it?" said Mitzi. "No other clues?""Well, and a giant oil can..." said Dot, pointing to an oil can that was just as huge as the hole in the wall. "A giant oil can?!" exclaimed Mitzi. "Dot, that means...there's another robot!" "But G insisted he only built three Test Robots!" said Dot. "How can this be?""You mentioned minecart tracks," said Mitzi. "I bet they lead to some answers." "You may be onto something," said Dot. "I'll take the Snow Trekker out and see what I can find," said Mitzi. "Ready to roll, as usual!" said Dot. "Be careful, and call us if you find anything." Mitzi stepped outside and activated the Snow Trekker with her Spy Gadget. Mitzi followed the signs that pointed to the direction she needed to go, and used the plow to remove obstacles that were in her way. When she came across a lake, she converted the vehicle into a boat to get across. After a few minutes of trekking, plowing, and sailing, she arrived at her destination. As she got off her Snow Trekker, she realized that she had stopped in front of what looked like some sort of cavern, with a giant robot-shaped hole made on the exterior. "I think I remember this place," she thought to herself. "Not too far from here is where I found G trapped under a minecart. I don't remember this hole being so robot-shaped before..."But then, something dawned on her. It must have been the hideout for a robot that was even bigger than the ones she saw before. Sure enough, she looked up and saw a giant robot looming over her, making the young agent gasp in shock. She had never seen a robot this big before. As she looked closer, she could see that the robot was made out of all the parts from Club Penguin that had been stolen. It had the Aqua Grabber's cockpit for a head and inner tubes from the Dock and the Ski Village attached to its red tube arms. Its body was made up of two speakers from the Dance Club and the Theater's ticket booth. On its back was the boiler from the Boiler Room, and its lower body consisted of a single minecart. Even more shocking, the Elite Puffles were being held captive in the robot's ticket booth chest. Mitzi could tell they were in there because they were bouncing around frantically and squeaking for help. But most of all, Gary was on the robot's head, waving his flippers around in a panic. "Mitzi, HELP ME! My Test Robots have gone too far!" yelled Gary. "They've built one of the robots I'd sketched out in my lost notebook!" "Hey you, whatever you are!" shouted Mitzi as the robot placed the cockpit bubble on top of its head, trapping the inventor. "Put G down!""Identity query...Processing answer...Ultimate Proto-Bot 10000," said the robot. "Next generation test robot. Initializing superior intelligence component...""Don't worry G!" said Mitzi as the Proto-Bot took off with Gary and the Elite Puffles trapped inside it. "I'll save you!"Mitzi chased the Proto-Bot down on her Snow Trekker through the wilderness. It was a difficult chase, because apparently, a giant robot on minecart wheels could move a lot faster than a snow machine. When Mitzi stopped at the Town, she saw the Proto-Bot trying to break into the Dance Club. "Commencing upgrade scavenger hunt sequence..." said the Proto-Bot. "Searching for turntable upgrade...""Oh my goodness," said Mitzi as she hopped off her Snow Trekker. "That robot is so huge.""It's a relief to see you, Mitzi!" said Dot. "The Ultimate Proto-Bot is ruining everything!""I think it's trying to steal more things to upgrade itself with!" said Mitzi. "What should we do?" asked Dot."Whatever we do, we have to make sure we don't put G or the puffles in any more danger." said Mitzi. "Yes, we have to save them!" said Dot. Mitzi knew there had to be a way to stop that ginormous robot. Maybe there was something in the Coffee Shop or the Clothes Shop that she could use. The Coffee Shop was closed, so Mitzi ran into the Clothes Shop, where she saw the manager freaking out over seeing the Proto-Bot. "It's a monster!" cried the shop manager. "I almost fell off the roof when I saw it!""What were you doing on the roof?" asked Mitzi. "I was cleaning out the rain gutters when I saw its giant head," said the manager. "I thought it was going to get me.""Is it safe to go up there?" asked Mitzi. "Yes...I think so," said the manager. "Be careful! I'm so scared...""Don't worry, miss, you're safe inside," said Mitzi. Then she ran up the stairs to the storage room and opened the door that led to the roof. That poor shop manager was so scared, but Mitzi wasn't. She was a very brave penguin, so she was not going to back down easily. She headed to the roof, where she heard Gary calling her through the Proto-Bot's dome. "Mitzi! Over here!""Shh, G!" shushed Mitzi. "I don't want the Ultimate Proto-Bot to notice me."There had to be something in her Spy Gadget that she could use, and luckily, there was. She took out the Mechano-Duster tool and brushed it against the robot's beak, causing it to sneeze and lose its balance. "ERROR! Tilt sensor overload! Losing balance!" said the Proto-Bot. As it tilted over, its ticket booth chest opened, allowing Blast to jump right out. Once she saw the red puffle escape from the robot, Mitzi knew she had to go find him, so she ran back down the stairs and out of the shop, where she saw Blast, safe and sound. "The Ultimate Proto-Bot ran away to the Docks!" said Dot. "What did you do?""Well, I guess you can say I was lucky to find a spot close to its nose," chuckled Mitzi. "Is Blast okay?""He's a little shaken, but ready as ever to do what daredevils do best!" said Dot. "A daring puffle indeed!" said Mitzi. "Don't worry, Blast, we'll get our friends back!" "Happy to see you have some help!" said Dot. "Good luck!"Now that Mitzi had freed one of the Elite Puffles, she hurried to the Dock to see what was going on there, with Blast following her. When they got there, they saw the Proto-Bot trying to wreck the Hydro Hopper. "Processing upgrade. Preparing plan.""Oh no!" said Mitzi. "The Ultimate Proto-Bot is planning to use the Hydro Hopper for parts." Well, Blast was not going to let that happen. He did his cannonball stunt and shot out from his cannon at the Proto-Bot, knocking it over. "ERROR! Collision detected! Ground space limited! Tilt sensor overload!" said the Proto-Bot. Its puffle-containing hatch opened up again, this time freeing Loop. "Everyone hold on tight!" cried Gary as the Proto-Bot fell into the water. "We're going down!"But the Proto-Bot wouldn't stay in the water for long. As soon as it detected a leak in its internal system, it shot out of the water like a rocket and flew off to the Ski Village. But Mitzi was more concerned about Loop than the runaway robot. "Loop, are you okay?" she asked the pink puffle. "That looked like quite a fall. We'll have to follow the Ultimate Proto-Bot into the Ski Village if we want to get the rest of the puffles back. Stay close in case I need your help."Mitzi, Blast, and Loop headed over to the Ski Village, where they saw the Proto-Bot spinning around, trying to dry its waterlogged internal system. "Uh-oh, I think I'm going to be sick!" said Gary. "Hold on G, I have a secret gadget right here!" said the Rookie, holding up a rubber duck. "Rookie, what is that?" asked Gary. "I'm not really sure, but I found it in the Gadget Room." said the Rookie. Mitzi scoffed and shook her head. She knew that the rubber duck wasn't going to be very much help. "Did you really find that thing in the Gadget Room?" asked Mitzi. "Yes, I found it in one of the lockers," said the Rookie. "I figured it might come in handy.""Do you think it will do anything?" asked Mitzi. "I'm not sure, but G kept it under lock," said the Rookie. "It must have some secret agent use."Mitzi knew that a silly little toy wasn't going to stop the Ultimate Proto-Bot from spinning like a tornado. Luckily, she knew Loop could stop it. "Loop, use your lasso to slow the Proto-Bot down!" she said. The pink puffle spun her lasso around and caught the Proto-Bot, tying it up and slowing it down. "ERROR! Spin cycle blockage. Balance loss imminent!" said the Proto-Bot. Its puffle-containing hatch opened, allowing Flare to escape. "Excess water and blockage removed," said the Proto-Bot as it broke out of the rope. "Resuming upgrade search. Puffle capture upgrade located. Proceeding to Beach."The Proto-Bot rolled off to the Beach. Once it was out of Mitzi's sight, she could see that poor Flare looked very dizzy and a little green from all that spinning. "You look sick, Flare!" she told the black puffle. "All of that spinning would make me sick, too! Keep close, I don't want the Ultimate Proto-Bot to catch you again.""I'm sorry, Mitzi," said the Rookie. "No matter what I try, all I can get the gadget to do is squeak.""Don't worry," said Mitzi. "You can help me out by keeping penguins out of harm's way.""Really? You can count on me, Agent," said the Rookie. Once Flare got over his dizzy spell, Mitzi led him and the other two puffles to the Beach, where the Proto-Bot was trying to steal something from the Lighthouse. "Puffle capture upgrades at 50%," it said. "Additional net upgrades located. Initiating acquisition.""Mitzi, the Ultimate Proto-Bot is gathering fishing nets to make a puffle capture upgrade," said Gary. "How long do you think it will take?" asked Mitzi. "I don't know," said Gary. "But once the Ultimate Proto-Bot gets the upgrade, it will try to use it to catch the puffles again." Well, Mitzi knew that this was the right time for Flare to jump into action. "Flare, use your welding torch breath on the Proto-Bot!" she told the black puffle. Flare nodded, put on his welding mask, and used his welding breath on the Proto-Bot's minecart base, disabling its ability to move on the ground. "ERROR! Traction system unresponsive. Balance loss in 3...2.." said the Proto-Bot as it tilted over. As it did, its ticket booth chest opened, allowing Flit to jump right out. Mitzi was relieved, because she almost thought he wouldn't make it out in time. Unfortunately, while the Proto-Bot wasn't able to move on the ground anymore, it could still fly, and it took off into the air. Nevertheless, Mitzi was glad that she saved another puffle. "It's good to see you again, Flit," she told the green puffle. "Now that the robot has taken to the skies, it's going to be harder to follow. Don't wander too far, Flit. We may need your aerial expertise."Mitzi and the puffles ran into the Lighthouse and went up the stairs to the Beacon, where they saw the Proto-Bot looking for upgrades. "Lightbulb upgrade detected," said the Proto-Bot. "Preparing upgrade.""G, what is the Ultimate Proto-Bot talking about?" asked Mitzi. "I don't know, it must want the Beacon's lightbulb for itself," said Gary. Just then, Mitzi saw an anvil tied to a green balloon floating over the giant robot's head. An idea came to her mind, but she needed Flit's help with it. "Flit, pop the balloon to make that anvil fall on the Proto-Bot's head!" said Mitzi. Flit flew over the anvil and popped the balloon, causing the anvil to fall and directly hit the Proto-Bot right on the head. "Bullseye!" shouted Mitzi. "Unexpected collision. Upgrade data lost," said the Proto-Bot. Its puffle-containing hatch opened, allowing Bouncer to jump right out. She landed right on the jetpack launchpad without falling to the ground. "Nice jump, Bouncer!" said Mitzi. Knowing that looking for upgrades on the mainland was too dangerous, the Proto-Bot flew off."Bouncer, I'm so glad you're okay!" said Mitzi. "That was quite a leap you made. Try to stay calm within whistle range if you can. It doesn't seem like the Ultimate Proto-Bot is going to take any more chances with us." Even thought the Proto-Bot had flown off, it was still in sight, so Mitzi knew it was possible to catch up to it without being noticed. It was time for some stealthy flying. She strapped on a jetpack and took off into the sky. She ducked and dodged the obstacles that were in the way, while dropping down a bit at times to save fuel. All the while, she followed the Proto-Bot, who, fortunately, was too busy looking for a better hiding spot to notice her. Finally, she stopped at the Tallest Mountain. When she arrived, she saw the Proto-Bot flying around in the sky, making sure that no pesky agents were following it. "Scanning for upgrades. No agent activity detected.""Excellent," thought Mitzi. "The Ultimate Proto-Bot doesn't know I'm here."It was the perfect time to call Bouncer, so Mitzi blew her puffle whistle and Bouncer immediately came to her aid. The other puffles that Mitzi rescued heard it, too, because they appeared just after Bouncer did. "The Proto-Bot doesn't see us," Mitzi whispered to the blue puffle. "So now might be a good time to bring it back to ground-level with your snowballs."Bouncer made a snowball and chucked it at the boiler jet attached to the Proto-Bot's back, immediately shutting it down. "ERROR! Boiler jet system shut down. Aerial mode disabled," said the Proto-Bot as it landed right into the snow. Its puffle containment chamber opened, releasing Chirp. Now there was only one more puffle to rescue. "Sorry for the rough landing, Chirp," said Mitzi. "But that was the only way to get you out. Stay close in case the Ultimate Proto-Bot tries to capture you again."But luckily, Chirp knew just what to do. She took out her flute and played a note that was so high that it broke the glass of the Proto-Bot's puffle containment chamber, disabling it and allowing Pop to escape. "You did it, Chirp!" cheered Mitzi. "The last of the secret agent puffles is finally free!"The sound of Chirp's flute also shattered the dome on the Proto-Bot's head, which was keeping Gary trapped inside. "Hold on tight, G!" said Mitzi. "The Ultimate Proto-Bot is not about to let you go just yet!"And it wasn't. Even though some of its systems were disabled, the gigantic Proto-Bot wasn't giving up yet. It was trying to figure out a way to restore its boiler flame so it could escape, but Mitzi was not going to let that happen. "I'm sorry it took this long to get you out, Pop," she told the purple puffle. "But I might need you now, so let's see if you can get Gary down from there."Pop blew a bubble to encase Gary in, which safely brought him down to the ground."Great job, Agent Flapdoodle!" said Gary as he used a pen to pop the bubble. "Good thing I had my handy-dandy pen.""Nice work, everypuffle!" Mitzi told the Elite Puffles. "Now it's time to deactivate this giant mechanical beast. Get ready, Proto-Bot, 'cause you're going down!" She took out her Robotomy tool and plugged it into the Proto-Bot's belly. "Access panel breach detected. Setting up internal protection," said the Proto-Bot as Mitzi began the deactivation. One by one, she slowly and carefully deactivated the cyber systems in the robot's parts to stop it for good, trying not to trigger the internal alarms. Trying to catch this robot was a little difficult, but it was super fun. In fact, she enjoyed these robot missions, because those troublesome tin cans didn't stand a chance against her. Once she was done, she knew the Proto-Bot was done for. "Power levels dropping. All systems powering doooooowwn..." droned the Proto-Bot. It crackled, buzzed, and then finally shut down for good. "You did it, Mitzi!" cried Gary as the Elite Puffles jumped up and down, squeaking happily. "The Ultimate Proto-Bot is finally deactivated!" "And let's hope this is the last we've seen of it," said Mitzi. "Because we're gonna take it apart and bring everything back where they belong!"The Jetpack Guy immediately arrived and brought Mitzi, Gary, and the puffles back to the HQ, where the Director congratulated Mitzi for a job well done. "Great work, Agent," he said. "The Elite Penguin Force is lucky to have you within its ranks. Now that this emergency is over, we can begin rebuilding. Penguins are now working together to put things back where they belong. But most importantly, everypenguin is happy as things are returning back to normal. Congratulations on a job well done, Mitzi Flapdoodle! As a reward, we have promoted you to Unbelievably Over-the-Top High Level Clearance! Here's your new badge."The agents gave Mitzi a gold badge, which looked a lot cooler than the platinum one that they gave her last mission. "Oh my goodness!" exclaimed Mitzi. "Thanks a lot, everypenguin! Being an EPF agent is super fun, and I love going on these cool missions!" Now that Mitzi had defeated the Proto-Bot and saved Gary, the Elite Puffles, and the whole island, she could finally have some time to relax. Being a secret agent in the Elite Penguin Force was a lot of fun, and she knew that helping keep Club Penguin a fun and happy place was always a great adventure. Who knew what kinds of missions she would go on next? Whatever was next in store for her, she knew that it would be absolutely flap-tastic!...
